KYOCERA Document Solutions Sets a New Standard in Industry’s Most Dynamic Colour Market Segment with Next Generation Compact MFPs.

The TASKalfa 406ci series enhances the user experience through unsurpassed quality and finishing; combined with workflow applications to address any business need

MISSISSAUGA, CANADA – February 2, 2016 – KYOCERA Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, today announced the introduction of the TASKalfa 406ci multifunctional printer (MFP) series. This is the first series of compact TASKalfa MFPs offering up to a maximum of legal sized output, which incorporate the features, functions, business applications and robust finishing options that organizations commonly associate with larger footprint devices.

The TASKalfa 406ci Series is efficient and compact, yet robust enough to offer all of the power typically associated with higher-volume MFPs. The three new models in the series are: the TASKalfa 406ci (42 pages per minute [ppm] colour/42 ppm black); the TASKalfa 356ci (37 ppm colour/37 ppm black) and the TASKalfa 306ci (32 ppm colour/32 ppm black).

For customers that still associate colour documents with higher running costs, Kyocera further strengthens this new product introduction by offering its unique Tiered Colour System. Providing customers the ability to monitor and control their costs for colour output, ranging from simple text documents with a colour logo to a vibrant colour document, all on their Kyocera TASKalfa 406ci series device. The TASKalfa 406ci series is the latest TASKalfa MFP series with the Tiered Colour System capability, putting customers in control of colour costs by paying for the actual colour used.

As is true with many Kyocera TASKalfa MFPs, the TASKalfa 406ci series delivers an industry-leading preventive maintenance schedule of 300,000 pages for the TASKalfa 406ci and 200,000 pages for the TASKalfa 356ci and TASKalfa 306ci. Kyocera’s long-life technology is known to deliver the ultra-reliability that businesses demand helping to reduce required service intervention, while maximizing performance in every environment. This long-life technology offers customers increased productivity and uninterrupted workflow of critical documents.

Featuring a 7 inch tablet-like touch screen interface on the TASKalfa 406ci and 356ci (4.3 inch on the TASKalfa 306ci) with a 90 degree tilt for adjustable viewing, high definition colour resolution of up to 1200-dpi, and, equally important, countless device configurations, these newest additions to the TASKalfa line-up are sure to impress. A large selection of advanced finishing options, including a 300 sheet internal finisher for the entire series, a 3,200 sheet finisher (TASKalfa 406ci/356ci) equipped with 3-position staple and hole punch and an optional 5-bin mailbox, as well as a 1,000 sheet finisher with 3-position staple and optional hole punch mean that these MFPs can be as compact or robust as the office needs demand.

According to Danielle Wolowitz, vice president, Corporate Marketing Group for KYOCERA Document Solutions America, “We realize that the workplace is ever changing, and customer requirements are always evolving. This series of compact Kyocera MFPs is a total document solution that delivers the ideal technology which will directly integrate into an organization’s existing infrastructure and help to optimize their document environment, no matter what the industry. Bottom-line, this colour series will change the way customers think about their A4 MFP.”

Customize Your MFP, Turning Your Complex Workflows into Simple Processes

The TASKalfa 406ci series integrates seamlessly with a wide range of powerful Kyocera-developed or third-party business applications (requires an SD card on the TASKalfa 306ci), simplifying a range of complex document management challenges faced by businesses of all sizes. Some of Kyocera’s most popular business applications available for the TASKalfa 406ci series include, DocuWare Connector, DMConnect, CentraQ Pro, SharePoint Connector and KYOCERA Cloud Connect.
